Why do you take part in Heritage Open Days?
It’s a brilliant way to showcase the Museum and it gives us
the chance to work with local organisations and individuals involved with
heritage and culture.
What does your job involve?
I am responsible for the everyday
management of the Museum and for the display and care of its collections.
What do you like best about your
role?
It’s so varied! I also love
working with our large team of volunteers. Their enthusiasm inspires me.
What is special to you about Norfolk?
The rivers, the marshes, the
wildlife, the coast, and of course, the Broads!
What do visitors gain from taking part
in Heritage events?
We find that most visitors to the Museum during Heritage Open Days are
local people. This festival enables us all to discover more about our
local communities.
Describe your Heritage Open Days
experience in three words.
Busy, inspiring, enlightening.
